Biomedical and Maintenance

Biomedical and Maintenance Department

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and repairing medical and biomedical equipment.
  • Conducting regular preventive maintenance to prevent equipment breakdown.
  • Inspecting and testing equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
  • Calibrating equipment where required to maintain accurate measurements.
  • Responding to equipment faults and minimizing downtime.
  • Keeping an updated inventory and maintenance records for hospital equipment.
  • Advising clinical departments on the proper operation and care of equipment.
  • Coordinating with suppliers and external technicians for specialized repairs and servicing.
  • Assessing equipment condition and recommending replacement when equipment is beyond economical repair.
  • Ensuring that hospital equipment remains safe, reliable, and fit for clinical use.

 

 

Biomedical and Maintenance

Biomedical and Maintenance Department 

is responsible for ensuring that all hospital medical equipment is safe, functional, reliable, and available for patient care. The department oversees the installation, inspection, preventive maintenance, repair, calibration, and performance monitoring of biomedical and medical equipment throughout the hospital.
