Gatonde District Hospital is organized into key operational units that ensure efficient service delivery.

Director General’s Office

The Director General's Office is heading Gatonde District Hospital managerial duties for development and evaluation of standards of medical care throughout the department, providing medical direction to clinical staff and advising the department in matters of medical policy, procedures and clinical protocols. Meets regularly with the Board of directors and advises the Board on medical policies.

 

Medical and Allied Health Sciences Unit

Medical and Allied Health Sciences Unit is responsible for overseeing and developing an organization’s clinical departments through tasks such as evaluating, scheduling, and supervision. These professionals must come up with strategies to allow for continued growth and provide clinical training to their staff and internees.

 

Nursing and Midwifery Unit

The Nursing and Midwifery Unit oversees and evaluating all nursing personnel (registered nurses, Midwives.) Guiding staffing procedures Setting objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department while create a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies. There, all personnel will be able to do their best in caring for patients.

Administration and Finance Unit

The Administration and Finance Unit provides leadership in the management of human, financial, and material resources at Gatonde District Hospital. It ensures effective administration, financial accountability, and operational support to facilitate the delivery of quality, accessible, and patient-centered healthcare services.
